Ghanaians resident abroad are lamenting their inability to exercise their franchise ten years after Ghanaian lawmakers passed the People Amendment Law which allows its citizens resident abroad to vote.

Two general elections after the law was passed and another approaching, Ghanaians in diaspora are unhappy to know that they are still unable to vote.

Correspondent Detola Ademola reports from New York that Kofi Boateng who heads US Advocacy group, Progressive Alliance Movement is leading the call for Ghanaians living Abroad to be allowed to vote in Upcoming elections.

His outcry is supported by many Ghanaians who frequently visit this restaurant at the Bronx in New York.

Kofi Adds that his group has made several attempts to make their case known to the electoral commission in Ghana to no avail.

He explains why it is important for Ghanaians in diaspora to vote.
